Abstract:
Smoking has long been recognized as a significant risk factor for various cancers, including esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer ranks among the most fatal malignancies globally, with a strong association observed between smoking and its incidence. This review explores the relationship between smoking and esophageal cancer, highlighting the mechanisms, epidemiological evidence, and implications for prevention.
