These Author Guidelines provide general instructions for preparing, formatting, and submitting manuscripts in accordance with the publisher's editorial policies, publication ethics, and quality standards.

Before submitting your manuscript to any journal published by GSC Online Press, please ensure that:

• The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
• The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
• All listed authors have reviewed and approved the submitted version.
• The research complies with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.
• Conflict of interest and funding statements have been included where applicable.
• References are complete, accurate, and formatted according to the selected journal's requirements.
• Tables, figures, and supplementary files are properly numbered and cited within the manuscript.
• The manuscript follows the formatting recommendations provided in these guidelines.

Length Guidelines

Research Articles & Review Articles: We usually recommend up to maximum 20 pages (including references, tables, and figures). Font size 12, line spacing 1.5

Short Communications: We usually recommend up to maximum 10 pages; up to 5 figures/tables

Case Studies: We usually recommend up to maximum 10 pages; up to 5 figures/tables

Letters to the Editor: 2–3 pages; maximum 10 references

Authors are encouraged to present their work concisely and avoid redundancy.

Manuscript Preparation

Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must be prepared as follows:

• Paper size: A4
• Margins: 1 inch on all sides
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font size: 12 pt
• Line spacing: 1.5
• Alignment: Justified
• Page numbering: Bottom right
• Line numbering: Continuous throughout the manuscript

Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format.

Structure of the Manuscript

1. Title Page

The title page must include:

• Clear, concise, and informative title (maximum 150 characters; sentence case)
• Full names of all authors (First name–Middle name–Last name)
• Institutional affiliations with complete addresses (including country)
• Superscript letters linking authors to affiliations
• Corresponding author marked with an asterisk (*)
• Complete correspondence details (postal address, phone number, email)
• Email addresses of all authors

2. Abstract and Keywords  

Abstract

• Maximum 250 words
• Must be self-contained and informative
• Clearly state objective, methodology, key results, and conclusion
• No citations or references
• Define abbreviations at first use

Graphical Abstract (Optional)

• Authors are encouraged to submit a graphical abstract summarizing the study visually.
• Minimum resolution: 500 × 1250 pixels
• Readable at 5 × 13 cm (96 dpi)
• Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, EPS, MS Office

Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords immediately after the abstract for indexing purposes.

3. Introduction

Provide background, rationale, and clearly state the research objective or hypothesis. Avoid extensive literature review or repetition of results.

4. Materials and Methods

Provide sufficient detail to allow reproducibility. Include:

• Materials and instruments used
• Sources of specialized chemicals
• Experimental procedures
• Ethical approvals (if applicable)

Ethical Requirements

• Animal studies must include institutional ethical committee approval.
• Human studies must include ethics approval and informed consent.
• A written statement of ethical approval and informed consent must be included where applicable.

5. Results and Discussion

Results should be presented clearly and concisely. This section may be combined or separate.

• Tables and figures must be cited consecutively.
• Insert tables and figures at appropriate positions within the manuscript.
• Ensure figures are minimum 300 dpi resolution.
• Avoid duplication of data between text and tables.

6. Conclusion

Summarize major findings and significance. Do not repeat the abstract. Avoid citing references.

7. Acknowledgements

Include funding sources, grants, institutional support, or other acknowledgments before the reference section.

8. Conflict of Interest

Each author must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
A separate statement must list disclosures for each author individually.

9. Ethical Statements

Include the following statements where applicable:

Statement of Ethical Approval
For animal/human studies, confirm ethics committee approval.
If not applicable, state:
“The present research work does not contain any studies performed on animals or human subjects by any of the authors.”

Statement of Informed Consent
For studies involving individuals:
“Informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study.”

10. References

IJSRA follows the Vancouver referencing style.

In-Text Citation

References should be cited using numbers in square brackets.
Example: “…as previously reported [3,6].”

If authors are mentioned in text, the reference number must still be provided.

Reference List

• References must appear in numerical order as cited in the text.
• Do not arrange alphabetically.
• Follow Vancouver format for journals, books, chapters, patents, theses, and websites.

Abbreviations and Units

• Use standard abbreviations.
• Define non-standard abbreviations at first use.
• Use SI units throughout.
• Temperatures must be expressed in °C.

Tables and Figures

• Place near relevant text.
• Avoid vertical lines and shading in tables.
• Figures must be ≥300 dpi resolution.
• Captions should appear below figures.
• Color figures are accepted at no additional charge.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening followed by peer review. Authors typically receive reviewer feedback within 3–4 weeks.

Accepted manuscripts are published online within approximately one week after final acceptance.

Proofs and Reprints

• Electronic proofs (PDF) will be sent to the corresponding author.
• Only minor corrections are allowed at proof stage.
• Authors receive free online access to the final published PDF.
• Articles may be downloaded and printed without restriction.

8️⃣ Conclusion

The conclusion should briefly summarize the major findings of the study and highlight their scientific significance. Avoid repeating information presented in the abstract or introducing new data or references.

9️⃣ Acknowledgements

Authors may acknowledge individuals, institutions, funding agencies, laboratories, technical staff, or organizations that contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

If there are no acknowledgements, authors should state:

"The authors acknowledge no additional support."

🔟 Funding Statement

Authors must disclose all sources of financial support received for conducting the research.

If the study did not receive funding, please state:

"This research received no external funding."

⚖ Conflict of Interest

Every manuscript must include a Conflict of Interest statement. Authors should disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research.

If no conflict exists, include the following statement:

"The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."

🧪 Ethical Approval

Studies involving humans, animals, or biological materials must include appropriate ethical approval obtained from the relevant institutional ethics committee before commencement of the study.

The manuscript should clearly mention:

• Name of the Ethics Committee
• Approval Number
• Date of Approval (if applicable)

When ethical approval is not required, authors should clearly indicate this in the manuscript.

👥 Informed Consent

Manuscripts involving human participants must include confirmation that informed consent was obtained from all participants before inclusion in the study.

Suggested statement:

"Informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study."

📚 References

Most journals published by GSC Online Press follow the Vancouver Referencing Style. However, authors should always consult the selected journal's Instructions for Authors to verify the required citation style before submission.

In-Text Citations

• Use numerical citations enclosed within square brackets.
• Example: "...as reported previously [3]."
• Multiple references should appear as [2,5,8].

Reference List

• Arrange references in numerical order.
• Include DOI wherever available.
• Ensure every citation appears in the reference list.
• Avoid unpublished references unless essential.
• Verify all bibliographic information carefully.

📊 Tables

• Number tables consecutively.
• Provide descriptive table titles.
• Use editable tables rather than images.
• Avoid excessive formatting and shading.
• Define abbreviations in table footnotes.

🖼 Figures

• Figures should be cited in numerical order.
• Minimum recommended resolution: 300 dpi.
• Accepted formats include JPG, PNG, TIFF and EPS.
• Each figure must include a descriptive caption.
• Ensure text within figures remains readable.

📈 Graphical Abstract (Optional)

Some journals encourage submission of a graphical abstract summarizing the research visually.

Recommended specifications:

• Minimum resolution: 500 × 1250 pixels
• Minimum 300 dpi
• JPEG, PNG, TIFF or EPS format
• Simple, informative and publication quality

💾 Data Availability Statement

Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement explaining where the supporting research data can be accessed.

Example statements include:

• Data available within the published article.
• Data available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
• Data deposited in a recognized public repository.

🧾 Abbreviations and SI Units

• Define abbreviations at first mention.
• Use internationally accepted abbreviations.
• Use SI Units throughout the manuscript.
• Temperatures should be reported in °C.
• Scientific names should be italicized where appropriate.
